Sarah Lewke is an artist and teacher based in the Okanagan. Her work is an exploration of beauty, identity and our relationship with the landscape. She takes inspiration from numerous sources, including places she has traveled, her Christian faith, and the Okanagan Valley. She is interested in color and pattern, and creating interesting objects of beauty.
Sarah Lewke was born in Calgary Alberta, but grew up exploring the beautiful Okanagan Valley. The city of Kelowna is located on the nothern tip of the Sonoma desert, and is a region noted for its orchards, mountains and lakes. Sarah studied Fine Arts at the University of British Columbia Okanagan Campus, and received her BFA before pursuing an Education degree at Trinity Western University. She now shares her love of art with her elementary and high school students.
