This piece is about allowing oneself to be fully seen, speaking clearly and honestly, especially with the ones closest to our hearts. Allowing the edges to open, the light to fall on secret places. The source image for this piece was taken at the top of Knox Mountain.
Original 36×48” acrylic painting by Sarah Lewke. Painted on gallery wrapped canvas with clean raw canvas edges, so no framing is needed.
Wired and ready to hang. Signed on front, labeled on back.
The Light Breaking Through Series
This painting is part of the Light Breaking Through Series; a celebration of the fleeting, precious winter light that occasionally graces our faces in the Okanagan. Winter can be heavy, and through making these pieces I’ve focused on the bright spots of joy that are sprinkled through our everyday lives.
